About Me

I have worn a variety of hats in the information technology space.  I have hands on experience with project management, business analysis, helpdesk support, SQL database programming & administration, ColdFusion web programming, Crystal Reports and running both the applications as well as infrastructure teams. Last couple of years have given me a lot of exposure on infrastructure related projects as well as vendor negotiation/management.
My business background and technology experience allows me to provide a balance between the business units and IT teams. I believe in the "Business Leads IT" mantra. Breadth of projects have included large Data migrations for ERP system, Integration projects with Insurance Companies and Auto Manufacturers, Datacenter Infrastructure, Voice & Data communications and Business Units Core systems Application development.

As part of a busy IT department, we were constantly solving problems and coming up with unique solutions or finding neat tricks / tools to make our lives easier. Some of these happened quite rarely and if it was not documented, required us to re-solve the problem. Some of it was alleviated by having a wiki in place for quick documentation. Objective of my blog is to serve as my personal wiki to record some of the interesting tools that I come across (and actually use) as well as document some of the methodologies on solving interesting issues. There will be intermittent updates based on workload.
